Quillix Capture
Quillix Capture features a visual process builder that lets you design and define your workflow. Documents are brought into the system through Scanning and Input Modules, initiating their journey through the process. Quillix then manages and tracks these document packages, directing them to the appropriate destinations and recording all activity for auditing purposes. When ready, documents can be archived and made available for future access in a Document Management System. Business rules and logic can be embedded within the process maps to ensure users receive the right documents at the right time.
Input Modules
Quillix Capture uses input modules to bring documents into the system. These modules support importing from files, folders, fax, email, Docusign and Adobe Acrobat Sign. The web client also enables high-speed scanning directly from MFPs and scanners.
Custom input modules can be written in any .Net language. Simply implement 2 properties and 5 methods and you have your own input module to bring in batches from any source.
Batches & Documents
In Quillix, every item begins as a “Batch.” This batch might be a basic stack of scanned pages with no indication of document boundaries or associated metadata. Alternatively, it could be a well-structured DocuSign PDF that includes metadata and clearly defined page separations. Regardless of the starting condition, Quillix streamlines the process of grouping related pages into documents and assigning the appropriate metadata to each one.
Workflow Processes
As batches move through the processing workflow, documents are identified and metadata is applied. This can be done manually using the web client or automatically on the server through QSX modules using barcodes, database lookups, or OCR. At any point you choose, documents can be archived for future access—or, if no longer needed, they can be permanently deleted.
QSX Events
QSX events have complete access to a batch’s files and metadata. Quillix Capture includes over 30 built-in QSX modules that can perform tasks such as:
- Route based on metadata values
- Read barcodes (1D or 2D)
- Database lookup
- Image cleanup
- Image conversion
- Export to various document management systems including
- AppXTender
- Documentum
- OnBase
- LaserFiche
- ImageNow
- SharePoint
- Quillix Content Manager
Like Input modules, if you choose to create your own custom QSX, it may be written in .Net or any language that supports COM. Merely implement 5 methods and 6 properties. All of our QSX modules use this same interface, so there are no restrictions on what you can do.
